Arriving at Sofia Airport

The new terminal at the Airport of Sofia is just few kilometers away from downtown Sofia. If you have not arranged your transportation after getting of the plane, you should know that there are a few ways to get to a hotel or anywhere in the city.

Unfortunately the subway in Sofia is still under construction, so you can either take a bus 284, Minibus or a Taxi.

My advise is to use the airports facilities to order a cab. The ones you see on the picture waiting in front of the airport a couple of times more expensive.

You can as well get on a bus. The number of the bus that goes to the new terminal is 284 and it will take you for less than 50 euro cents to downtown Sofia. You can also take this bus if you want to reach the old terminal. There you can find better cab to take you where ever you want.

You can also catch a minibus. You can see one in front of the airport and on the picture below. It will cost you like 70 cents to 1 euro.  It will as well take you to downtown Sofia.

    Depending on the cab you use and the destination of your trip  the price will be between 5 - 15 euros this is what you can expect to be charged if you are to be transported within the city of Sofia.
